Topical astrology has divided a natal chart into 12 houses as per the 12 zodiac signs. These 12 houses represent the 12 different aspects of life for an individual on this planet. In my opinion, this is an excellent guide to understanding life as a whole pie than just a slice of it. Most often, with the obvious conditioning, we find ourselves obsessing about one or three areas of our life. For me, this pie of 12 houses shows an expansive zoom-out picture of what all life entails - and how much we miss out when we are centered on just one or two aspects of it. There are 12 areas of life to look at and as per our soul contract and cosmic transits, we will have a chance to decondition, learn, and embody each aspect at different times of our lives. Of course, the timing for all of us for each aspect will differ. When we understand this, phew! What other words would you offer to your inner child who deeply craves to shed this wound? How is this wound triggered in your everyday life? The wound of abandonment. This is the birthplace of the fear of abandonment. This is when the first time, your human body or mind, or soul, experienced abandonment. This is the wound of being left out in the cold. This is the wound of having nowhere to belong. This is the wound of being a victim of life having resources to survive withheld from itself. It’s the feeling of helplessness. WHILE AS AN ADULT, ABANDONMENT FROM A LOVED ONE MEANS EMOTIONAL TURMOIL AND HEARTBREAK, AS A CHILD, SURVIVAL IS AT STAKE IF HE/SHE IS ABANDONED BY HER CAREGIVERS. This will naturally cause stress in the body as the adrenal releases cortisol to fight, flight, or freeze in response in order to cope with the situation. As you can think of it, this is obviously very traumatic to deal with. This is when we see how the stress is regulated in our body with a slight trigger or threat of being abandoned. You can find yourself stressing about that one unanswered text, or perfecting that email pitch, or being scared of your boss more than necessary. I am not saying these shouldn’t cause upset as it’s your ultimate right to feel the way you feel – but think of the discrimination between feeling ungrounded and stressed (anxious, breathlessness, high blood pressure, depression, acting out, feeling unsafe etc.) and feeling heartbroken, upset or disappointed. This will naturally cause stress in the body as the adrenal releases cortisol to fight, flight, or freeze in response in order to cope with the situation. As you can think of it, this is obviously very traumatic to deal with.

I am not saying these shouldn’t cause upset as it’s your ultimate right to feel the way you feel – but think of the discrimination between feeling ungrounded and stressed (anxious, breathlessness, high blood pressure, depression, acting out, feeling unsafe etc.) and feeling heartbroken, upset or disappointed.

What does healing mean for you? I remember sometime back being thrown off by this word completely. The spiritual industry somehow made this word extremely otherworldly excruciating, never ending punishment for lightworkers, something outside our control - and then the mental health industry made it like a chronic disease you have to just suck up and fight with through some quick fixes. I vibe with none of those. None of those reflect the true meaning of healing. And somewhere you myt not even realize this, but you have some notions around healing. What are your ideas around healing? Do you say you are on healing journey but you still secretly hate it? Do you think more time is spent in suffering than healing on this quote unquote HEALING journey? Or do you avoid this path as much as you can because it feels risky, dangerous and threatening? Perhaps a part of you feels bleh about it. I know i rolled my eyes at this word at one point. And that's likely my hint that i am not doing it right. Can you not do it right? Yes 100% There are bazzillion of stories and opinions around healing But very few accessible resources around it... One of my bigger ambition is to un-privilege the healing work.
