Journal prompts to find your life purpose and gifts
Finding our gifts + purpose allows us to live a fulfilling life beyond the ordinary. It moves us, inspires us, and gives us the vision to wake up to every single day. Without a purpose and without really sharing our true gifts, we can experience confusion, anxiety, depression, and literally existential crisis. This happens because our soul feels dull and small. Not living our full expression also makes us shrink hence shrinking our lives even further.
However, when we do use our gifts and live our purpose and our soul-aligned missions, our souls are super active, excited and online. They will re-establish a connection to the source to help you get inspired and share and level up every single day.
When we use journaling, we allow our subconscious minds to channel through on paper. Journaling is an amazing tool to dive deep and find your true purpose and gifts. Our purpose is not lying outside of us but within. This purpose will not be handed over to us on a platter but would be reclaimed from within. Our subconscious mind is extremely intelligent and in congruence with our destiny and the highest path to evolution, success, and prosperity.
Here are three journal prompts to help you go within and have your subconscious reveal to you about your gifts and purpose. Open your diary and sit with these three journal prompts. Perhaps sit in silence with them and let the words pour through. If you are not a fan of writing, you can feel free to use these prompts to verbally engage yourself.
01. What was MY favorite thing to do when I wAS young?
This journal prompt will take you back to your childhood. Being a child, we are very active and in full connection with source energy. When we create as a child, we create with no expectations but from a true space of joy and happiness. We are raw and untainted by the outside world. Each act of a child is filled with innocence, yet aligned with his or her highest purpose. There are no motives but simply an expression.
Reflecting on this prompt will really help you to find your true, authentic expression. This expression is what will help you to shape your purpose and mission.
02. What moves ME and sparks MY soul? This is when I lose track of time, space and reality . . .
This prompt is the best fit for you if going back in your childhood wasn’t easy. The thing with the things we love is that nomatter how dire or unfavorable the circumstances are, we never leave them. We cannot! I have always ended up writing, consciously, or unconsciously because it brought me joy like no other. Right now, writing this blog post is filling me with delicious energy and as I bask in that, I also happen to live my purpose of inspiring someone like you today.
03. What would I do for the sheer joy of it, even if I WAS not paid?
Here comes the game-changing journal prompt. As I wrote above, things which we absolutely love, they keep pulling us in their direction – no matter what. So what is it that you’d continue doing (or maybe you already do) even if you are not paid for it? Maybe as a side hustle, maybe as a hobby, maybe as something which gets you in the act even on a Sunday. Reflect deeper, most likely, you are somewhere still doing it. If you are not, a part of you is perhaps aching to do it. What is it? Let your pen flow and guide you. It’s okay if the answers don’t come at first. You can start with a list, a memory or maybe a role model you love to watch in action.
Money is a great motivation, you know, I love talking about allowing more abundance in our lives. Unfortunately, we are living in a world where we think it limits us or it takes away the joy.
“You don’t have to do what you love to do for money. There are other ways to make money”
Sure, there are infinite ways to call in abundance. But not all of them bring us joy! Not all of them make us happy or elated or inspired to come back even on a Friday evening. Why would we want to spend every waking moment of this precious life suffering and being busy all day doing something which leaves us uninspired and exhausted? Can we let go of this limiting belief that we cannot make money doing what we love? Read this blog post to tap into abundant mindset energy so that you can follow your bliss and highest path fearlessly.
